Reporter Þóra Arnórsdóttir, one of the individuals encouraged to run for presidency, has expressed an interest in running against President Grímsson. “I have been approached by a number of people who have challenged me to run. I can’t help but respond in a respectful manner to those who have encouraged me to run,” she told the reporter. ![]() Bessastaðir, the presidential residence. Photo by Páll Kjartansson.
