The weather varied greatly at Reykhólar yesterday. At 6 am wind speeds of 27 m/s were measured but at 3 pm the sun shone brightly and the flag at the end of the airport runway hung limp. iceland

The village of Reykhólar in the West Fjords was hit by hail measuring up to two centimetres in diameter, the size of which is rarely seen in Iceland, during a storm early yesterday morning. The hail was very localised and did not fall on the entire village of Reykhólar,
