Capelin, Mallotus villosus, is a small forage fish found in the North-Atlantic Ocean, one of the most economically important fish to exist in Icelandic waters. According to vísir.is ten capelin trawlers are currently following plankton along the east coast of Iceland and fishing off the Hrollaugseyjar Islands, just west of the village Höfn in Hornafjörður. iceland
