The Icelandic Meteorological Office has issued a storm warning for southwest Iceland tonight. The wind is expected to reach a speed of more than 20 meters per second. A low pressure system is set to approach the country around or shortly after midnight.

The depression will likely be accompanied by considerable snowfall, mbl.is reports. Tomorrow the weather is forecast to calm but for snowfall to continue. Commuters are asked to follow the website of the Icelandic Meteorological Office, vedur.is, and that of the Icelandic Road Directorate, vegagerdin.is. iceland
