According to information from the Reykjavík Metropolitan Police, the men provided conflicting accounts of events when questioned at the scene and various aspects in their behavior strongly indicated that they had been involved in another break-in in the neighborhood, which the police had recently begun investigating, Morgunblaðið reports.
To add to the suspicion of their involvement, objects were found among the men’s belongings for which they couldn’t account for. The two men have a history with the police.
