The Icelandic state was acquitted of charges filed by two members of the Hells Angels motorcycle club in Norway, Leif Ivar Kristiansen and Jan Anfinn Wahl, in Reykjavík District Court yesterday.
Reykjavík District Court. The men wanted to have the decision of the Icelandic Directorate of Immigration to deport them as soon as they arrived at Keflavík International Airport early last year revoked, visir.is reports. Kristiansen is the leader of Hells Angels in Norway and is currently serving a sentence for drug violations. Wahl, who has a clean criminal record, wanted to attend the court case when it opened in Reykjavík last month but was deported again. The Hells Angels are also suing the Icelandic state for libel and defamation. iceland
