S&P confirmed the credit rating for the Icelandic state treasury’s short and long-term obligations in Icelandic and foreign currency at BBB-/A-3 on Wednesday, visir.is reports.

The outlook for Landsvirkjun, the Icelandic National Power Company, is also improving, S&P stated; the company’s credit rating remains at BB for now, ruv.is reports.

Representatives of Landsvirkjun said in a statement that the changed outlook has limited impact on the company’s receivable commercial papers.
