Pétursson said the next flight from Keflavík to New York, which is scheduled for Thursday, is being reviewed. Passengers whose flight was canceled yesterday were able to reach their destination with other airlines, ruv.is reports. Heimir told ruv.is that Iceland Express had suffered losses all autumn due to the New York flights. The airline does not have a strong enough sponsor as the competitor and therefore cannot make up for these losses, he explained. Recently it was announced that Iceland Express is planning to invest in its own fleet of passenger aircraft. ESA
