The Icelandic Phallological Museum reopened in Reykjavík last weekend, in the city center on Laugavegur 116, after moving from Húsavík, northeast Iceland, where it has been located for the past years.

According to Morgunbladid, approximately 280 samples of mammal penises and penis parts are on display at the museum; the first human specimen was added to the museum’s collection earlier this year. The museum was relocated because its director Sigurdur Hjartarson decided to retire. His son, Hjörtur Gísli Sigurdsson, now runs the museum. At the museum’s reopening, attendees toasted to the father and son.
