The sale is part of OR’s savings plan approved last spring, which involves selling OR’s assets that aren’t necessary for the company’s core operations, mbl.is reports. Perlan, which among other attractions houses the Saga Museum and a restaurant in the rotating dome, is visited by approximately 600,000 people every year, many of whom are foreign tourists. The building opened in 1991. The water tanks on which it stands are not considered part of the building and will continue to serve OR’s operations in the capital region. The representatives of the real estate agency Miklaborg is responsible for the sale. ESA
