According to a forecast by the British Met the ash cloud will go to the north and current indications are that it will not get to the European mainland.

Icelandair has announced that the company’s afternoon flights will be cancelled. However, it urges all passengers to follow reports closely, since forecasts can change on short notice.

Iceland Express has not cancelled flights yet, but the final decision on flights will be made at noon when new ash-cloud forecast will be issued. A total of eight flights are planned with Iceland Express. The president of the company, Matthías Imsland, said that if possible the flights would be on, but he was not optimistic. He said that the ash is heavier now than in the Eyjafjallajökull eruption and chances are that the ash cloud will not be as big as last year.
