Sundays are reserved for children at Gerduberg, the culture center in Reykjavík’s Breidholt district. Tomorrow two plays will be staged and at the center’s library visual artist and Gerduberg employee Kristín Arngrímsdóttir will assist guests in making Easter decorations.

Gýpugarnagaul.

The Möguleikhúsid theater group will show the children’s play Gýpugarnagaul at 2 pm in the culture center’s main building. It features Gýpa, who is always hungry, and swallows everything that gets in her way without thinking about the consequences.

The play, which is directed by Sigrún Valbergsdóttir, is based on old Icelandic tales and poetry. Actress Alda Arnardóttir, singer Thórunn Elín Pétursdóttir and musician Birgir Bragason participate in the performance.

At the same time, the play Gilitrutt, directed by Benedikt Erlingsson, about a legendary ogress will be staged in the Gerduberg library. The dramatization of the folk story was written by Bernd Ogrodnik. Admission is free and all are welcome.
