There will be one concert per month, always on a Wednesday evening, and admission is free. In addition to students and teachers from the Music School, guest performers will participate in the series, as stated on akureyri.is. The concerts will be themed; tonight there will be emphasis on swing and blues and in the next concert, which takes place on March 16, the Samba Duo, featuring drummer Rodrico Lopes and guitarist and singer Guito Thomas, will perform, along with the student group the Blues Swing Monks. On April 13, the Matisand Jazz trio, comprised of guitarist Matti Tapani Saarinen, drummer Emil Thorri Emilsson and trombonist Einar B. Björnsson, will perform at Götubarinn. The Music School Big Band, conducted by Alberto Porro Carmona, will also play. ESA
